Feather river bass can be so fun to target with Morone swimbaits and glidebaits

Feather river bass can be so fun to target with Morone swimbaits and glidebaits all day long. You may find as the day grows warm they will down size to smaller baits. Sometimes we will toss the small Morone Jerkbaits and 4 inch swimbaits at them when its hot and slow here in Northern California.
When in doubt reel your swimbait all the way to the boat. The big strike may be on your last turn of the reel.
When you can say we had numbers and nothing was under 3 lbs its a good day. A few school sized stripers to boot.
A big fat Feather river bass that fell for the 7 inch Morone little Giz shad swimbait. The picture does not do this fatty any justice. Have fun and be a good steward of the water. Be kind and help people who need it out there. #fishing is life. Share it with the world.

There is no doubt when targeting trophy fish you have to think like one. Fishing swimbaits is a no brainer. Big fish eat little fish, known fact. It is not wrong to say they also target school baitfish like Pond smelt and shad. We try to connect that and some of the tested and true baits are spot on.
The new top water swimbait has been so fun to fish. It got crushed right out of the gate during testing. Targeting school size striped bass and cookie cuttie 4lb river bass it proved to be an amazing day. Tested and true is very important. This is one top water swimbait you can reley on and should be in every swimbait arsenal.

First cast top water testing.

Some classic paint work not matching the hatch but a love for fishing big swimbaits and small for that matter.
You can find this brush tail and also a darker version in the hard tail design. We added a 4 inch model to the Morone swimbait line up for people who enjoy light tackle.

Catch and release trophy trout. The record has been broken so many times. By a select few that is.
A big striper may not be the 60lb fish you wished for but this moment is priceless. Working baits all day for one bite will keep you coming back every time.

We have a few limited edition swimbaits that sink a bit faster for a few deep hole we fish. The proved to be workers. Find a new rubber brush tail version of this bait also.
Can we say hello to this beautiful swimbait design. This is a large bait that has been very fun to fish on giant striped bass and has been a worker on other toothy species. It has an acton all its own . Doing the look back move with this one will evoke violent kill strikes from large trophy bass and striper. Enjoy this one if your looking for a good pull.
Love your country its such a beautiful special place. Take time to enjoy its bounty. Never be to busy to take a few casts. It may be the next one that connects with a giant like this. Oh by the way they are his words. Go G boy you amaze us all.
Ladies we love you and all you have brought to the sport of fishing. You girls have got it going on.
May everyone's days on the water be many in any shape or form.

Morone Swimbaits 2018 New Editions for the trophy Bass Striper Musky Pike swimbait fishing enthusiast

The Northern California area marks many things one being trophy striped bass holding water. The spring marks a time of spawning for these amazing swimbait eating fish. Its amazing to watch a huge female get chased by males ready to spread the trophy genetic make up the posses. The big monsters are lurking and they are watching. They lay low during the day like great white sharks ready to pounce. The last part of the day as the sun sets its game time. Most anglers have hit the road as they stage to ambush and eat .
Over the last 4 years fishing large swimbaits for these trophy striper has become a true passion for a small crew of local anglers. Morone set out to bring swimbaits to the table that people could afford and also to spread the passion for this fun filled approach to the challenge of catching a possible 50 lb striped bass 5 minutes from home. Its exiting and it has our local fishing community tuned into the opportunity fishing these large swimbaits bring to the table of striper tactics and techniques. The days of cut bait are basically over for most of us who seen stripers react to the action of the Morone swimbaits. They look like real forage fish and you can control your offering to tempt the giants.
We have found striper are very in tune with what they pick out for a dinner time meal. During the day this is a proven fact tested on schooly sized pack stripes. These guys give you an idea of what works and what does not. We enjoy fishing the 10 inch baits because its a dinner bell. The action coming from the Morone swimbaits will get noticed but when the ambush happens will you be denied? We have taken this thought to the next level by matching the local fish that these fish dine on. We also offer a down sized version for days when the fish tune into smaller schools of these baitfish and forage fish. Some of the new 2018 edition swimbaits will have you headed to our store when you see them. We have brought the swimbait fishing community the Kokanee offering which the industry has modeled after. The Albino trout was another fun one that got mass attention. Or as we call it the Oroville Ogrotton. They designed to fish our local Mackinaw trout on the troll and boy did it get some attention. Its a hands down lake trout catcher. If you have Kokanee and lake trout or Mackinaw as the are called in the west you need a Morone Kokanee swimbait in your boat. Big bass also enjoy smashing these swimbaits.
We are about 10 days out from runveiling our new 2018 swimbaits and are very exited to share them. We hope to hear from some of the shops so we can get these out to your customers also. We have kept our business smll but are now extending our passion for swimbaits out far beyond the Northern California testing waters. They work and the images will get that reaction bite you need after you have tempted a giant out from under a log jam mid day. That's a big reward, one people search out.
